| Universal Support System | | The Universal Support System™ (USS) is a hybrid system configured in a non-expandable ISO shelter housing two 600 ft² air beam soft-wall shelters which deploy directly from the rigid shelter. The USS provides an interior space of 1800 ft² that is operational in less than 15 minutes by four soldiers.
Key integrated features include:
- Power system with onboard diesel generator, emergency power and shore power connection
- Environmental controls for heating and cooling with HEPA filtration
- NBC filtration with dual mode operation (NBC and pre-filtration)
- Two integral self-erecting air beam shelters integrated with LED lighting, electrical cord sets, liner and air plenum.
This highly versatile, C130 airlift friendly shelter system provides collective protection, HEPA filtration and isolation capability. With its large transport to deployed ratio, the USS is readily available for use as a 32 bed patient ward, emergency operations command shelter and complexable to all of MMIC’s other deployable shelters to form a mobile field hospital.
